I'm Sherry Hall. I am excited to be sharing a daily Slice of Life for the month of March! When the invitation came to participate in the Challenge, I thought about what I wanted to share this year. I decided to look through a different lens than I normally write from.

I'm in the midst of a journey to become a published mystery author--the lens I'll be looking through for Slice of Life 2018. Why did I decide to share this part of my life? As a teacher, I always told students they could be published authors. Now, as a teacher consultant, I meet so many teachers who have ideas for books. Ideas. Why don't we as educators take the leap we ask our students to make? I'm taking the leap, and I'm challenging you to leap with me!

What will I be talking about? I don't know. This journey started a year and a half ago, and I had so many questions about writing cozy mysteries (my favorite relaxing reads), as well as editing and publishing. I'll talk about a piece of my "authoring" day, and I'll answer any questions you have about starting a journey as an author!
